On Monday, India’s Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agarwal confirmed that negotiators had completed discussions and finalised the agreement. He said both parties resolved remaining issues and reached a consensus.
Leaders Meet in New Delhi
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President António Luís Santos da Costa are currently in New Delhi. Officials expect the formal announcement during their visit.
The presence of top EU leadership highlights the political and economic significance of the agreement for both partners.
