Lampard Named Coventry City Manager

Coventry City has appointed Frank Lampard as their new manager, following the departure of Mark Robins. The 46-year-old, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, will now take the reins of the Championship club. Doug King, the club’s chairman, expressed his delight in Lampard’s appointment, highlighting the manager’s experience in the Championship and his understanding of what is required for success in the league.

Lampard’s managerial career began with Derby County, where he was head coach from 2018 to 2019. His success at Derby led him to a high-profile role at Chelsea, first as head coach in 2019, before he was let go in 2021. Lampard briefly returned to Chelsea as an interim manager in 2023. He also managed Everton for a season before his recent return to the club.

The new appointment marks a fresh chapter for Lampard, who is well known for his playing career, particularly at Chelsea, and is now tasked with bringing success to Coventry City.
