Dr. Khaled Al Fadil who is acting Minister of Electricity and Water including Minister of Oil of Kuwait, yesterday made an announcement about the Gulf state which he stressed will no longer interest in hiring expatriate workers in state-owned Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries for the year 2020-21,adding that the number of special contracts would experience reduction which were awarded to expats.
He further acknowledged that the new novel coronavirus is considered a global pandemic that had great effects on international markets and plummeted the oil prices which is now observed recovered and prices are too reported increasing now.
He shared his opinion stressing the need for the private sector to make a good participation in recovering and fortifying the national economy. While, Kuwait’s Cabinet comes to terms to rip government budgets by at least 20 per cent during the 2020-2021 fiscal year.
