Naseem Shah Update for 2nd Aus ODI

Ahead of Pakistan’s second ODI against Australia on November 8 in Adelaide, there’s good news as fast bowler Naseem Shah has fully recovered from his recent injury.

Sources confirmed that Naseem took part in today’s practice session and will be available for selection in the upcoming match.

In the first ODI, Naseem had to leave the field due to cramps while bowling, but he has since recovered, and the Pakistan team is optimistic about a stronger performance in the second match.

The squad might undergo changes, but a final decision will be made after tomorrow’s practice session. The playing XI will be confirmed following discussions with selectors, including Asad Shafiq, captain, head coach, and others, based on the pitch conditions in Adelaide.

Upon arrival in Adelaide, the Pakistan team rested before focusing on practice today, working on areas like batting, bowling, and fielding.

Historically, Pakistan has had limited success in Adelaide, with only one win in eight matches. The only victory came in 1996, led by Wasim Akram, when Pakistan won by 12 runs, thanks to a five-wicket performance from Saqlain Mushtaq.

The most recent ODI in Adelaide was on August 26, 2017, when Australia won by 57 runs, setting a target of 369 runs. Pakistan’s chase, which included a century from Babar Azam and 79 from Sharjeel Khan, fell short at 312.
