
Navy explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technicians took to the skies over New York City in an MH-60S Knight Hawk helicopter on May 26, 2024. The flight followed an impressive fast-roping display and community outreach event, part of the annual Fleet Week New York festivities.
Fleet Week New York 2024 saw participation from over 2,300 sailors, Marines, and Coast Guard personnel. The week-long event offers the public a unique opportunity to witness the maritime capabilities of the U.S. military up close. Through various demonstrations and interactive activities, service members engage with the community, fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of their roles and missions.
The fast-roping display, a highlight of the event, showcased the precision and skill of the EOD technicians, demonstrating their rapid deployment techniques.
