Netanyahu: Houthis to Learn Middle East Lesson

Netanyahu Lights Chanukah Candle, Warns Enemies

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu marked the first night of Chanukah with a candle lighting ceremony at his office in Jerusalem, joined by PMO staff, senior officials, and their families. Also present were Orna and Ronen Neutra, the parents of Capt. Omer Neutra, an IDF officer killed in the October 7 attacks whose body was taken hostage by Hamas.

In his speech, Netanyahu drew a parallel between the ancient victory of the Maccabees and Israel’s current struggle. “Like the Maccabees of old, we are striking at our enemies,” he said, emphasizing Israel’s ongoing fight against adversaries such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Assad regime. “The Houthis, like them, will learn that their time is coming. This lesson will echo across the Middle East.”

His words served as a stern warning, reinforcing Israel’s commitment to confronting its enemies and standing firm in the face of threats.
