March 2, 2025 – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed deep appreciation for President Donald Trump’s steadfast support of Israel, highlighting his role as Israel’s strongest ally in the White House.
Following his recent visit to Washington, Netanyahu commended Trump’s unwavering backing, particularly regarding military aid and strategic policies. The Israeli leader emphasized Trump’s crucial role in expediting the delivery of previously delayed munitions, ensuring that Israel has the resources to counter regional threats.
One of the key elements of Trump’s support, Netanyahu stated, is his administration’s visionary plan for Gaza. Israel has fully endorsed this plan, which aims to extend a temporary ceasefire by 50 days, creating a framework for negotiating a lasting peace agreement. Under the proposal, half of the hostages would be released immediately, with the remaining captives freed upon reaching a permanent ceasefire deal.
While Israel has accepted this U.S.-mediated proposal, Hamas has refused to comply. Netanyahu criticized Hamas for presenting conditions that Israel deems unacceptable. As a response, Israel has halted the flow of goods and supplies into Gaza, citing Hamas’s continued diversion of resources for its militant activities rather than civilian needs.
Netanyahu warned that if Hamas persists in holding hostages, Israel will take further measures. However, he assured the Israeli people that the U.S. stands firmly behind Israel.
“President Trump continues to stand with Israel, ensuring our security and the return of our hostages,” Netanyahu stated.
As the situation unfolds, Netanyahu remains firm that Israel will not compromise its national security and will take decisive action to counter Hamas’s influence while working toward long-term stability in the region.
