President Herzog Meets President Macron in Paris, Praises Olympic Hosting Efforts

President Isaac Herzog of Israel met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris today. During the meeting, President Herzog expressed gratitude for the warm reception and congratulated President Macron on hosting the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

President Herzog also praised President Macron’s efforts in combating antisemitism and ensuring that the Israeli delegation can compete proudly and fairly in the Olympics. “The State of Israel is proud to participate in the Olympics and to raise its flag on this important world stage,” Herzog remarked. He emphasized the solidarity of Israel’s citizens with the athletes, stating, “With every jump and step, with every kick, lift, and hit – we stand together with our sons and daughters on the front lines, we stand together with those displaced from their homes in the north and south of the country, and we continue to demand the immediate release of the hostages held captive by Hamas.”
