Islamabad witnessed heightened security measures on Sunday as the government sealed all entry routes to the Red Zone in anticipation of Jamaat-e-Islami’s (JI) “Gaza Solidarity March.”
The religious-political party had announced a protest march toward the US Embassy in Islamabad to denounce American support for Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza.
To prevent any potential unrest, authorities placed containers, barbed wire, and concrete barriers at key entry points to the Red Zone. A significant police presence was also deployed across the capital.
The march is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM and is expected to draw large crowds. The measures aim to ensure public safety and maintain order during the protest.
