Switzerland has praised Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating US-Iran engagement amid growing speculation that a potential agreement could soon be signed in Geneva.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, during which both sides reviewed regional developments and welcomed reported progress toward an understanding between Washington and Tehran.

Swiss officials acknowledged Pakistan’s active contribution to diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region, highlighting its supportive role in ongoing negotiations. Both countries agreed to maintain close coordination as talks continue to develop.

The discussion comes amid media reports suggesting that a signing ceremony for a US-Iran agreement could take place in Geneva in the coming days. Additional reports have indicated logistical preparations involving US military transport aircraft and high-level US officials potentially attending the event.

US and Iranian leaders have also reportedly signaled progress toward a final draft agreement, with expectations that formal steps could follow soon if negotiations conclude successfully.

Pakistan’s leadership has similarly expressed optimism, stating that key elements of a potential deal have been agreed and that final arrangements are underway.
