US President Donald Trump has again stressed that Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons, warning that such a capability could pose a serious threat to Israel, the Middle East, the US and Europe.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump described Iran’s leadership as dangerous and argued that Tehran would use a nuclear weapon if it managed to acquire one. He claimed that Israel could be destroyed and that the conflict could eventually threaten other regions, including the United States and Europe.
Trump also praised the US military campaign against Iran, saying American forces were causing substantial damage and describing the blockade imposed on Iran as highly effective.
He referred to Iran as a country in decline and said he was surprised when Tehran began attacking Gulf states after the war started. According to Trump, those attacks may have weakened Iran’s international support.
The US president also accused Democrats of wanting America to lose its conflicts with Iran and Venezuela. He rejected that possibility, insisting that the US was winning both conflicts decisively.
