Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to attend the 11th summit of the Developing Eight (D-8) Organization for Economic Cooperation in Egypt on Thursday. The summit, themed “Investing in Youth and Supporting SMEs: Shaping Tomorrow’s Economy,” will focus on fostering economic growth and development across member countries.
Erdogan is expected to deliver a key address at the summit, where discussions will revolve around crucial global and regional issues. He will also take part in a special session addressing the ongoing crises in Palestine and Lebanon. In addition to his speech, Erdogan plans to hold bilateral talks with fellow leaders, delving into topics such as the situations in Syria and Palestine.
The D-8, which includes Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, and Nigeria, was established in 1997 with the aim of promoting economic cooperation among developing nations. The summit serves as a platform for leaders to collaborate and tackle shared challenges in the pursuit of a more sustainable and prosperous future.
