Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Monday that his meetings with senior officials in the United Arab Emirates focused on strengthening bilateral relations and discussing challenges affecting the region.
Fidan described his UAE visit as highly productive, saying the talks provided an opportunity to review relations between Türkiye and the UAE and assess ongoing regional developments.
He traveled to the UAE after attending events on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly in New York.
During his visit to Abu Dhabi, Fidan met UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also held discussions with UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Fidan said Türkiye would continue working to strengthen regional cooperation and maintain diplomatic engagement aimed at supporting peace and prosperity across the region.
