ADEN — Yemen’s military announced Friday that Houthi forces had launched ballistic missiles targeting Aden International Airport and the presidential palace in the southern port city of Aden.
Military spokesperson Majed Abdullah al-Nuzaili confirmed the reported attacks in an official statement, identifying the Maashiq Presidential Palace and the international airport as the intended targets.
The latest incident comes shortly after Aden airport resumed normal operations following a temporary closure caused by another Houthi missile strike on Wednesday.
According to Yemeni authorities, Wednesday’s attack injured two civilians and damaged airport facilities, forcing officials to carry out emergency repairs to the runway.
The repeated attacks have raised fresh security concerns over critical infrastructure in Aden, particularly the airport, which plays an important role in civilian transportation and regional connectivity.
