Israeli Raid in West Bank Kills Four Palestinians, Injures Eight

The Israeli army killed four Palestinians and injured eight others during a raid late Monday on the village of Kafr Ni’ma in western Ramallah in the West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the deaths, reporting that the Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs, which liaises with the Israeli side, had informed them of the fatalities. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Raslan Abdo, Mohammad Jaber Abdo, and Rushdi Samih Ataya, with the fourth individual’s name not yet disclosed.

Ra’fat Khalifa, head of the village council, told Anadolu that over 50 Israeli military vehicles entered Kafr Ni’ma following an incident where Israeli special forces fired on a Palestinian vehicle. Israeli forces subsequently fired on individuals attempting to aid those in the vehicle, resulting in additional injuries.

Tensions in the West Bank have escalated since Israel launched a military offensive against Gaza following an attack by Hamas on October 7 last year. Since then, at least 538 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 5,200 others injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.

Israel faces genocide accusations at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which recently ordered an immediate halt to Israeli operations in Rafah, where over a million Palestinians had sought refuge before the city was invaded on May 6.–News Desk
