Trump Links Troop Presence to Iran Agreement Enforcement

US Maintains Military Pressure on Iran Pending Deal Compliance

US to Maintain Military Presence Near Iran Until Deal Fulfilled

Trump links troop deployment to full compliance

ISTANBUL: Donald Trump has said the United States will keep its military forces stationed in and around Iran until a final agreement is fully implemented.

In a statement shared on Truth Social, Trump explained that US ships, aircraft, and military personnel will remain deployed. He added that additional weapons and ammunition will also stay in place until Iran meets all terms of the agreement.

Warning of strong response if terms are broken

At the same time, Trump warned that the US would take powerful military action if Iran fails to comply. He stated that any violation of the agreement could trigger a response stronger than previous actions.

Furthermore, he stressed that the agreement includes a strict condition preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons. He also noted that the Strait of Hormuz must remain open and secure for global trade.

Military remains prepared during truce

Meanwhile, Trump said US forces are staying ready while the situation develops. He indicated that the military continues preparations while awaiting the next phase of the agreement.

Truce aims to pave way for final deal

Earlier this week, Iran and the United States agreed to a two-week truce. This pause in fighting aims to create conditions for a long-term agreement.

The conflict began on February 28 following military action by the US and Israel against Iran. Since then, the fighting has caused significant casualties.

Deadline pressure influenced agreement

Notably, the truce announcement came shortly before a deadline set by Trump. He had repeatedly extended the timeline, urging Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and accept the deal.

As negotiations continue, the US maintains pressure while seeking full compliance from Iran.
