Hezbollah Launches Dozens Of Attacks In South Lebanon

Hezbollah said Friday it carried out 33 attacks against Israeli military targets in southern Lebanon over a 24-hour period, amid rising tensions along the border.

In multiple statements, the group said the operations targeted Israeli troop concentrations, military sites and vehicles in several areas, including Rashaf, Qouzah and Hadatha.

Hezbollah claimed the attacks were launched in response to what it described as repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and ongoing strikes on civilians and southern Lebanese regions.

According to the group, military bulldozers and Israeli troop gatherings in Rashaf were targeted using attack drones, artillery shelling and rocket fire. Additional drone strikes reportedly hit Liman barracks and Kiryat Shmona barracks.

Rocket barrages and artillery attacks were also directed at Israeli positions in Qouzah and Hadatha, Hezbollah said, claiming several operations achieved “confirmed hits.”

Earlier Friday, the Israeli military announced that the northern areas of Rosh Hanikra and Achziv had been declared closed military zones because of security concerns following repeated air raid alerts linked to rocket launches and drone infiltrations from southern Lebanon.

Israeli officials have increasingly expressed concern over Hezbollah’s use of fiber-optic drones, which are considered more difficult to detect using conventional defense systems.

In April, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Hezbollah’s missile and drone capabilities as major security threats and called for accelerated military solutions to counter them.
