Hezbollah Launches 33 Strikes On Israeli Forces

Hezbollah announced on Friday that it conducted 33 attacks against Israeli military forces and installations across southern Lebanon within a 24-hour period.

The group said the operations targeted troop concentrations, military vehicles, and strategic positions in several locations, including Rashaf, Qouzah, and Hadatha. It described the strikes as a response to what it called repeated Israeli violations of a ceasefire arrangement and ongoing attacks on civilian areas in southern Lebanon.

According to Hezbollah statements, Israeli military bulldozers and troop formations in Rashaf were hit using drones, rocket fire, and artillery shelling. Additional attacks reportedly targeted Liman and Kiryat Shmona military barracks with drone strikes, while rocket and artillery fire struck positions in Qouzah and Hadatha.

Hezbollah claimed that several of the operations achieved direct hits on intended targets.

Earlier the same day, the Israeli military declared the northern towns of Rosh Hanikra and Achziv as closed military zones, citing heightened security concerns after repeated air raid alerts triggered by drone incursions and rocket fire from southern Lebanon.

In recent weeks, Israeli officials have raised concerns over Hezbollah’s increasing use of fiber-optic drones, which are considered more difficult to detect and intercept.

In April, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described Hezbollah’s drone and missile capabilities as significant security threats and urged accelerated development of countermeasures.
