Iran Talks Advance Nuclear Limits Sanctions Relief Framework

US Signals Conditional Agreement Iran Diplomatic Breakthrough Possible

US Vice President JD Vance stated that the United States holds strong leverage in ongoing negotiations with Iran, emphasizing that the Trump administration expects a comprehensive diplomatic framework to be advanced later this week.

In an interview with CNBC, Vance said the priority remains securing a deal that benefits the American people and suggested that Washington is in a favorable negotiating position. He confirmed that a broad range of representatives is expected to participate in talks scheduled for Friday.

Vance highlighted a shift in US diplomatic strategy, noting that direct communication with Iranian officials has replaced indirect messaging through intermediaries. He argued that this approach allows for clearer assessment of Iran’s intentions and seriousness in negotiations.

He asserted that the United States possesses substantial leverage, citing military and economic advantages while stressing that any agreement would require Iran to make long-term commitments regarding its nuclear program. He added that sanctions relief and economic incentives would depend on verified compliance and dismantling of enriched uranium stockpiles.

The vice president also suggested that Iran could potentially access reconstruction funding through Gulf partners if it fully complies with nuclear restrictions and accepts strict verification mechanisms. He denied reports of frozen asset transfers being part of the current agreement.

Vance further claimed that Iranian hardline media has misrepresented the proposed deal and said Washington remains open to improved relations if Tehran meets US conditions. He also indicated that the administration expects regional stakeholders, including Israel, to ultimately respect the outcome of any final agreement.
