Ben Gvir Cancels US Visit Amid Visa Processing Challenges

Israeli Security Minister Faces Biometric Requirement Travel Setback

Israel’s National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has reportedly canceled a planned family visit to the United States after encountering complications during the visa application process.

According to Israeli media reports, the US Embassy informed Ben-Gvir that he would be required to appear in person to provide biometric fingerprints as part of standard visa procedures. The request was interpreted by some Israeli outlets as a sign of hesitation regarding the approval of his travel documents.

Ben-Gvir had reportedly intended to travel to Miami to attend the wedding of the daughter of an Israeli businessman. Earlier reports suggested that the minister initially explored the possibility of having the trip financed by the businessman before later agreeing to cover the expenses himself following public scrutiny and criticism from state oversight authorities.

The minister has frequently attracted international attention due to controversial statements and actions that have generated criticism from various governments and organizations.
