Three Hospital Workers Injured in Drone Strike at Northern Gaza Medical Facility
GAZA CITY, July 10, 2026 — Three Palestinian hospital employees were injured after a drone strike hit the courtyard of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza, according to local health officials, who described the incident as a violation of the ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025.
Medical sources said the explosion occurred while staff members were carrying out their duties inside the hospital compound. Two of the injured workers were reported to be in serious condition.
Gaza’s Health Ministry condemned the attack, warning that repeated incidents targeting healthcare facilities and medical personnel are placing both patients and frontline workers at increasing risk. The ministry said such attacks further weaken an already fragile healthcare system struggling to provide essential medical services.
Kamal Adwan Hospital has been operating with limited capacity after sustaining extensive damage during Israeli military operations in late 2024. The facility remains close to an area of ongoing military activity, making it particularly vulnerable to renewed violence.
The Health Ministry called on the United Nations, humanitarian agencies, and the wider international community to strengthen protections for hospitals, medical staff, and civilian healthcare infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip.
In a separate incident on Friday, medical officials reported that another Palestinian was injured by gunfire near the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. Health authorities also said casualties linked to reported ceasefire violations have continued to rise in recent months.
The Israeli military had not publicly commented on the reported incidents at the time of publication.
