Beijing, China – China has strongly condemned the United States’ imposition of “reciprocal tariffs,” calling them a violation of World Trade Organization (WTO) rules and a disruptive force in the global economy. Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong criticized the US for using tariffs as a tool of “economic bullying,” which he argued undermines international trade relations.
In a statement, Jiang emphasized the importance of global cooperation in addressing economic challenges, urging countries to work together to foster a stable and mutually beneficial global economy. He further stressed that unilateral tariff actions harm global markets and hinder progress towards fair trade practices.
China’s response comes as trade tensions between the two economic giants continue to escalate, with both sides imposing tariffs that are straining international economic relations.
