After an impressive 235 days in space, the astronauts of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-8 mission will offer the public a firsthand account of their scientific achievements aboard the International Space Station (ISS) during a post-flight news conference. NASA astronauts Michael Barratt, Matthew Dominick, and Jeanette Epps will discuss their mission experiences on Friday, Nov. 8, at 3:15 p.m. EST from NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. Though Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin was part of the crew, he will not join the event due to travel commitments.
The crew’s mission, which concluded on Oct. 25, included a 232-day stay on the ISS, during which they completed nearly 100 million miles and 3,760 Earth orbits. During their time aboard the orbiting laboratory, they conducted hundreds of vital science experiments and technology demonstrations, pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and preparing for future space exploration.
NASA will provide live coverage of the conference on NASA+ and its website, with additional viewing options on various platforms, including social media. Media representatives can attend the event either in person or virtually, with RSVP requirements for in-person attendance by 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. Those participating via phone or virtually can also submit questions using #AskNASA on social media.
This mission recap is a unique opportunity to learn about the science and daily life on the ISS from the Crew-8 astronauts, who contributed extensively to advancements in space research and technology during their extended stay in orbit.–News Desk
