Türkiye Supports Iran in Nuclear Talks, Says President Erdogan

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye emphasized the benefits of Iran’s nuclear talks during a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday. He reaffirmed Ankara’s continued support for Tehran in this matter.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 25th Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Tianjin, China. Türkiye’s Communications Directorate noted that the discussion also covered bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues.
President Erdogan highlighted that cooperation between Ankara and Tehran in multiple sectors, particularly energy, serves the mutual interests of both countries.
The leaders also exchanged views on the latest developments in Syria, Israel’s attacks on Gaza, and the ongoing peace process in the South Caucasus.
