Erdogan Offers Condolences to Saudi Crown Prince Over Attacks

ISTANBUL — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed condolences to Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman after attacks targeted the kingdom, according to a statement released Saturday by Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications.

Leaders discuss regional tensions

During the phone call, Erdogan and the Saudi crown prince discussed the ongoing conflict in the region along with recent political and security developments.

The Communications Directorate shared details of the conversation on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

Erdogan emphasizes diplomacy

Erdogan stressed that Türkiye continues diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions. He explained that he has been holding talks with different parties to keep diplomacy active despite the growing crisis.

The Turkish president also emphasized the importance of resolving disputes through dialogue. According to the statement, he encouraged renewed negotiations and peaceful solutions to regional problems.

In addition, Erdogan conveyed his sympathies to Mohammed bin Salman following the attacks targeting Saudi Arabia.
