Saudi Defense Minister Holds Security Talks With Pakistan Army Chief

ISTANBUL — Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman held talks with Asim Munir, Pakistan’s chief of army staff, to review regional security developments, including Iranian attacks targeting Saudi Arabia.

Focus on Iranian attacks

Khalid bin Salman shared details of the meeting on the social media platform X. He said both leaders discussed the recent Iranian attacks on Saudi Arabia within the framework of the strategic defense cooperation agreement between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

During the meeting, the two sides examined possible ways to stop these attacks. In addition, they discussed steps to strengthen defense cooperation between Riyadh and Islamabad.

Emphasis on coordination and stability

Both officials also highlighted the importance of close coordination in dealing with regional security threats. They stressed that stronger cooperation would help address growing challenges and support stability in the region.

The discussions took place as tensions continue to rise due to ongoing military escalation in the Middle East.
