Palestinian Death Toll Rises Amid Gaza Ceasefire Breakdown

Israeli Drone Attacks Intensify Gaza Casualty Surge

At least two Palestinians were killed and four others injured in a series of Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip on Thursday, in incidents described as further violations of a ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October of last year.

A medical source reported that a 40-year-old man lost his life and another was wounded after a drone strike hit the New Camp area north of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. In a separate attack, another Palestinian was killed when an Israeli drone targeted the roof of a home in the Al-Maghrabi area of central Gaza City.

Additional casualties were reported elsewhere in the enclave. A woman suffered serious injuries after coming under Israeli fire in the Atatra area west of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, two more individuals sustained moderate injuries when a drone explosion occurred near civilians in the Zeitoun neighborhood of southeast Gaza City.

Gaza’s Health Ministry stated that since the ceasefire began on October 10, 2025, at least 981 Palestinians have been killed and 3,111 injured due to Israeli military actions.

The ministry also noted that since the outbreak of the conflict in October 2023, approximately 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 173,000 wounded, with widespread destruction affecting nearly 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure.
