Gen Guetlein to Lead Golden Dome Missile Shield Initiative

On July 17, the U.S. Senate confirmed Gen. Mike Guetlein as the first Program Manager of Golden Dome for America. This key position reports directly to Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Honorable Steve Feinberg.
As a result, Gen. Guetlein will lead the development of the Golden Dome defense portfolio. This includes advanced systems to counter ballistic missiles, hypersonic threats, and next-generation aerial attacks.
Golden Dome is part of President Trump’s bold vision to build a layered missile defense shield over the U.S. homeland. It aims to deter, and if necessary, defeat attacks from near-peer rivals and rogue nations.
