Massive Pro-Palestine March in Istanbul Attracts Over Half a Million on New Year’s Day
ISTANBUL – Approximately 520,000 people gathered at Galata Bridge in Istanbul on Thursday, New Year’s Day, for a large-scale march supporting Palestine. The event followed morning prayers and was organized under the Humanity Alliance and National Will Platform.
The demonstration involved more than 400 civil society groups and was led by the Turkish Youth Foundation (TUGVA). Participants rallied under the slogan: “We won’t cower, we won’t keep quiet, we won’t forget Palestine.” Artists, sports figures, and other civil society members joined the march, calling for an end to violence in Gaza.
