Israeli Airstrikes Hit Southern Lebanon as Tensions Rise

ISTANBUL — Israeli forces carried out a series of airstrikes across southern Lebanon and areas near Beirut, targeting locations that Israel says are linked to Hezbollah.

Multiple strikes across southern Lebanon

Israeli warplanes launched several air raids on towns and villages in southern Lebanon in recent days. In addition, the strikes hit Beirut’s southern suburb, which is widely known as a stronghold of Hezbollah.

Military officials in Tel Aviv said the targets were connected to the group’s operations in the region.

Hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah intensify

The attacks come as tensions between Israel and Hezbollah continue to grow. In recent days, both sides have increased military activity, raising concerns about a wider escalation along the Lebanon–Israel border.

As a result, the situation remains tense while exchanges of strikes continue in the region.
