Al Jazeera Cameraman Among 10 Killed in Gaza Strikes

Journalist Killed as Fresh Gaza Strikes Raise Ceasefire Concerns

Israeli Strikes in Gaza Leave 10 Dead, Including Al Jazeera Cameraman, Amid Ceasefire Violations

At least 10 Palestinians, including an Al Jazeera cameraman, were killed in separate Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to local medical sources, despite a ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October 2025.

Among those killed was Ahmad Washah, a cameraman for Al Jazeera Mubasher, who died when an Israeli drone strike targeted a house in the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. The strike also killed another Palestinian and injured a third person, according to reports.

Al Jazeera confirmed the death of Washah, whose killing brings the number of the network’s journalists and media staff killed in Gaza since October 2023 to 12. His brother, Mohammed Washah, was reportedly killed in a separate Israeli strike earlier this year.

Elsewhere in Gaza City, four members of the same family — a husband, wife, and their two daughters — lost their lives after a drone strike hit their home near the Al-Tayaran area. Additional attacks were reported in several parts of the enclave, resulting in more civilian casualties and injuries.

An elderly man was killed when Israeli naval fire struck tents housing displaced families near the Gaza coastline, while another Palestinian died in a drone attack targeting civilians in northern Gaza City. Several others were wounded in separate incidents involving drone strikes and gunfire.

In southern Gaza, one Palestinian was killed and several others injured in an attack west of Khan Younis. Two children were also reported wounded in a separate shooting incident east of the city.

Health authorities in Gaza said that more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 3,000 injured in incidents described as ceasefire violations since the truce took effect. The conflict has continued to take a heavy toll on civilians, despite ongoing international efforts to maintain the ceasefire and reduce violence.

The latest casualties have renewed concerns about the stability of the ceasefire and the continued risks facing civilians and journalists operating in the region.
