Israeli forces reportedly carried out separate incursions into southern Syria on Monday, raiding homes in Daraa and establishing a military checkpoint in neighboring Quneitra, according to Syrian media.
Alikhbaria TV reported that Israeli troops entered the village of Maariya in western Daraa and searched several homes during the operation.
In Quneitra province, Israeli forces reportedly established a checkpoint along the Ain al-Nouriya–Khan Arnaba road, according to the broadcaster.
The reported incidents occurred amid continued Israeli military activity inside Syrian territory. Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa addressed the issue during his speech at the 81st session of the UN General Assembly last week.
Sharaa said that since late 2024, Israel had carried out nearly 500 air and artillery strikes and more than 1,200 incursions in Syria. He also said that nearly 300 people had been arrested or detained during these operations.
