A passenger aboard an Air Canada flight has shared a firsthand account of the frightening moments following a crash at LaGuardia Airport in New York City.
Rebecca Liquori, who was on the aircraft when it collided with a fire truck on the runway, described the incident as sudden and shocking. She said the crash began with a loud explosion that immediately alarmed everyone on board.
Passenger recounts near-death experience
According to Liquori, the impact caused panic among passengers, as many feared for their lives. Speaking to CNN, she expressed deep gratitude for surviving the ordeal.
“I’m just grateful to be alive,” she said. She added that she felt thankful to return home and reunite with her children, explaining that during the incident, she believed she might not survive.
