
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on Saudi Arabia to play an active role in de-escalating rising tensions between Pakistan and India. During a meeting with the Saudi ambassador in Islamabad, the prime minister emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to achieving regional peace through diplomatic dialogue rather than confrontation.
He highlighted Saudi Arabia’s influential position in the Muslim world and urged the kingdom to use its diplomatic leverage to promote stability in South Asia. PM Shehbaz reiterated that Pakistan values its longstanding brotherly ties with Saudi Arabia and welcomes its support in advancing mutual goals of peace, cooperation, and regional harmony.
The meeting underlined Pakistan’s consistent stance of seeking peaceful solutions to regional disputes and enhancing ties through constructive engagement.
