Russia Vows More Strikes on Ukraine After Kazan Drone Attack

Putin Threatens Greater Destruction in Ukraine After Kazan Drone Strike

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Sunday of intensified retaliation against Ukraine following a drone attack on Kazan, a central Russian city. The strike, which hit a luxury apartment building some 1,000 kilometers from the border, was attributed to Ukraine, though no casualties were reported.

In a televised meeting, Putin vowed that Ukraine would face even more destruction in return for its actions. He stated, “Whoever tries to destroy, will face much greater destruction themselves and regret it.”

The Kazan attack is part of a broader escalation in aerial assaults during the ongoing conflict. While Ukraine has yet to comment, the strike comes as Russia claims territorial gains in eastern Ukraine, including the capture of key villages in the Kharkiv region. Moscow is pressing forward with its territorial ambitions, while Ukraine struggles with shortages of troops and ammunition.

Putin’s remarks come amid rising tensions as Russia moves closer to securing the Donetsk region, with Kyiv increasingly under pressure.
