Sudan Kindergarten Bombed in Deadly RSF Strikes

Kalogi Suffers Civilian Drone Attacks Amid Ongoing Conflict

RSF Attacks Kill Dozens, Mostly Children, in Sudan’s Kalogi

Deadly Strikes on Kindergarten and Civilian Sites

At least 47 people, mostly children, have died and around 50 others were injured after attacks by Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the city of Kalogi, South Kordofan state. Two military sources from the government-aligned Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) confirmed the casualties to Al Jazeera.

The RSF reportedly launched the first strike on a local kindergarten on Thursday. They later returned to target civilians who had gathered to help the victims, escalating the death toll.

Hospitals and Government Buildings Hit

In addition to the kindergarten, the RSF bombed the city’s hospital and a government building. The Sudan Doctors Network described the attacks as “deliberate suicide-drone strikes” targeting civilian facilities.

The incident has raised urgent concerns about the safety of civilians, particularly children, in areas affected by ongoing conflict in Sudan.
