Trump Remembers Graham as Foreign Policy Hawk

Trump Honours Lindsey Graham, Calls Late Senator a Dedicated Foreign Policy Hawk

US President Donald Trump paid tribute to the late Senator Lindsey Graham during a funeral service at Washington National Cathedral on Tuesday, remembering him as a steadfast advocate of American strength and an influential figure in international politics.

Speaking before a gathering of political leaders, diplomats and dignitaries, Trump described Graham as someone who firmly believed in the role of American power and faith in advancing the nation’s interests. Reflecting on the senator’s long-held foreign policy views, Trump remarked that Graham was known for supporting military engagement whenever he believed it served the country’s strategic objectives.

“He never saw a war that he didn’t like,” Trump said, adding that those who knew Graham personally understood his intentions were rooted in what he believed was best for the United States.

The president also highlighted Graham’s extensive relationships with world leaders, saying the large international presence at the funeral reflected the senator’s influence beyond American politics.

Among those attending the service were Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, alongside other senior officials and international dignitaries.

Trump concluded his tribute by praising Graham’s lifelong commitment to public service, saying the senator devoted his career to serving the nation and remained actively engaged in his work until the end of his life. He described Graham as a respected statesman whose legacy would continue to shape American politics and foreign policy discussions for years to come.
