US-Israel Strike Targets Key Highway Linking Qom and Tehran

Highway Attack Deepens Iran Conflict as Tensions Escalate

Strike Targets Key Highway in Iran

A joint operation by the United States and Israel has struck a major highway connecting Qom and Tehran, according to reports from Mehr News Agency.

The attack took place early Friday. However, officials have not yet confirmed any casualties or the extent of the damage.

Attack Follows Earlier Bridge Strike

This development comes shortly after another major strike in northern Iran. A previous operation targeted a strategic bridge in Karaj, a city located near Tehran.

According to Iranian authorities, that earlier attack resulted in eight deaths and left 95 people injured. The bridge played an important role in regional transportation and infrastructure.

Ongoing Military Escalation

The latest strike forms part of a broader military campaign that began on February 28. During this period, the United States and Israel launched a series of air attacks across Iran.

Reports indicate that these operations have caused more than 1,340 deaths, including the country’s former supreme leader, Ali Khamenei.

Iran Responds with Retaliatory Strikes

In response, Iran has carried out drone and missile attacks targeting Israel and several neighboring countries, including Jordan and Iraq, as well as Gulf states hosting US military bases.

As a result, the conflict has led to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and international air travel.
