Trump Signals Imminent End To Iran Conflict

US President Donald Trump indicated on Friday that the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran could soon come to an end, claiming Tehran would never acquire nuclear weapons.

Addressing supporters in New York, Trump said Washington had effectively blocked Iran’s nuclear ambitions and expressed confidence that the conflict would conclude shortly. He also suggested that economic conditions in the US would improve, predicting lower costs and reduced automobile prices in the near future.

Meanwhile, diplomatic activity aimed at ending hostilities has intensified across the region. Iran’s semi-official media reported that a delegation from Qatar met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran as part of mediation efforts supported by Pakistan.

The development followed the arrival of Pakistan’s army chief, Asim Munir, in Tehran for another round of talks intended to help ease tensions. Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has also remained in the Iranian capital for ongoing indirect discussions between Washington and Tehran.

Diplomatic momentum has increased amid reports that negotiators are narrowing differences on a possible agreement to end the conflict.

Pakistan first stepped into the mediation process after helping broker a ceasefire on April 8, which temporarily halted fighting. Islamabad later hosted senior-level negotiations between US and Iranian officials on April 11 and 12, marking the highest-level engagement between the two sides since 1979.

Pakistani officials are now reportedly working to arrange another round of direct negotiations in an effort to secure a lasting settlement.
