Three Nations Commit Funding Two State Peace Solution Plan

Global Partners Back Israel Palestine Peacebuilding Program

The United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada have jointly announced the establishment of a new International Peace Fund designed to support initiatives aimed at advancing a two-state solution between Palestine and Israel.

In a coordinated statement released on Thursday, the three governments confirmed that the multi-donor fund will finance projects that help create conditions conducive to a negotiated political settlement. The initiative is intended to strengthen ongoing diplomatic, humanitarian, and development efforts by backing organizations focused on peacebuilding, dialogue, and mutual understanding.

The participating countries reiterated their shared position that a negotiated two-state framework remains the only viable pathway to achieving long-term peace in the region.

As part of the initial commitment, each country will contribute £1 million (approximately $1.3 million) over a three-year period. The fund will remain open to additional contributions from other international partners seeking to support the initiative.
