Tehran Condemns US Energy Seizure Strategy Warning

Qalibaf Issues Stark Warning Amid Rising US Iran Tensions

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has issued a strong warning to U.S. President Donald Trump, cautioning that “wrong strategies and impulsive decisions” could trigger severe consequences for Washington following threats to seize Kharg Island and other Iranian energy infrastructure.

In a post shared on the social media platform X, Qalibaf said such actions would destabilize regional balances, damage global energy markets, and create a prolonged conflict scenario. He warned that aggressive moves against Iran’s oil facilities could “reset the entire board,” escalate tensions, and lead to an extended geopolitical crisis.

“You will see a different Iran,” he stated, signaling the possibility of a stronger response if escalation continues.

His remarks came after Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States would launch intense military strikes against Iran and consider taking control of Kharg Island and other oil and gas assets in the future. Trump also suggested that U.S. forces would aim to dominate Iran’s energy markets.

Meanwhile, U.S. Central Command confirmed additional “self-defense” strikes against multiple targets in Iran. In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had struck several U.S. military installations across the region, including bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.

The situation has further intensified regional instability following ongoing strikes and Iran’s reported closure of the Strait of Hormuz, raising concerns over global energy security and broader military escalation.
