Air War Intensifies Before Ceasefire Talks

Israel Reports Massive Air Campaign in Iran

Israel Reports Over 10,800 Airstrikes in Iran Conflict

JERUSALEM — April 11, 2026:
The military of Israel has stated that it carried out more than 10,800 airstrikes against Iran during a 40-day conflict that began in late February alongside the United States.

Thousands of Targets Hit During Campaign

According to the army, the strikes targeted around 4,000 strategic locations and approximately 6,700 military sites across Iran. Officials also reported that multiple fighter jets operated at the same time throughout the campaign.

In addition, the military said it used more than 18,000 munitions during the operation. This figure is nearly five times higher than the number used in a shorter campaign against Iran last June.

However, independent sources have not verified these claims.

Conflict Intensifies Regional Tensions

The conflict began on February 28 when the United States and Israel launched a joint offensive. In response, Iran carried out missile and drone attacks targeting Israel as well as neighboring countries, including Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US forces.

Moreover, Iran restricted ship movement through the Strait of Hormuz, raising concerns about global trade and energy supply.

Ceasefire Opens Door for Diplomacy

After weeks of fighting, several countries, including Pakistan, Türkiye, China, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, helped broker a two-week ceasefire between Washington and Tehran.

As part of this agreement, both sides have agreed to hold talks in Islamabad to negotiate a long-term peace solution.
