Palestinian Family Displaced from Home as West Bank Tensions Continue
A Palestinian family has been displaced from its home in the town of Jalud, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, following months of escalating pressure and alleged harassment, according to local Palestinian sources.
The home, owned by Mahmoud al-Tubasi, was reportedly abandoned after weeks of deteriorating living conditions. Local sources said the family had remained in the house despite repeated incidents, including allegations that the property was set on fire and that an unauthorized settlement outpost was established nearby.
According to the same sources, the family also faced restrictions on access to electricity, food, water, and medical supplies before ultimately leaving the property.
Elsewhere in the occupied West Bank, Israeli military operations continued in several areas. Local reports said Israeli forces carried out additional raids in Qabatiya, south of Jenin, where vehicle movement was restricted and residents were questioned during security operations.
In the northern Jordan Valley, local sources reported the confiscation of a water tanker serving Palestinian communities, while another Palestinian was reportedly detained in the town of Hizma, northeast of East Jerusalem.
The developments come amid ongoing tensions across the occupied West Bank, where violence, military operations, and clashes have intensified since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict in October 2023. The situation continues to draw international attention as concerns grow over humanitarian conditions and regional stability.
