Explosions Reported in Tehran as US-Israeli Strikes Escalate

ISTANBUL

Explosions shook multiple cities in Iran on Tuesday evening as joint United States and Israel military attacks intensified, according to Iranian media reports.

Cities Affected

Blasts were reported in the capital, Tehran, as well as in the central city of Isfahan and northern Tabriz. Authorities have not yet provided information about casualties.

Military Targets

The Israel Defense Forces stated that its warplanes carried out coordinated strikes on several military sites in Tehran and Tabriz. According to a military statement, targets included command centers of the Iranian armed forces, a special units command center in Tabriz, and a military compound in Tehran.

Regional Escalation

Tensions in the region escalated after Israel and the US launched joint military attacks on Iran, which have resulted in over 1,200 deaths and roughly 10,000 injuries since last week.

Tehran has responded by carrying out drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf nations hosting US military forces.
