Pakistan has completed the ratification process for the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement signed with Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan announced at a news conference on Friday.

According to an official transcript, Khan said the agreement reflects the three countries’ shared determination to strengthen collective defense and promote regional security and stability.

The agreement reflects the three countries’ shared approach to addressing regional challenges through regional cooperation and developing joint solutions to security concerns.

It seeks to strengthen their security arrangements through collective deterrence and defense cooperation.
