TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani discussed escalating regional tensions during a phone call, with a focus on recent developments in the Strait of Hormuz.
Both leaders emphasized the importance of diplomacy, continued coordination, and open communication to prevent further instability in the Middle East. They agreed that regional challenges should be addressed through dialogue rather than confrontation.
The conversation came as tensions between the United States and Iran intensified following fresh military exchanges and disputes over the status of a previous memorandum of understanding aimed at easing hostilities.
