Israel Strikes Tehran Targets Amid Rising Tensions

Netanyahu Vows Victory in Operation Rising Lion

Netanyahu: Israel Advances in Operation Rising Lion, Vows to Eliminate Nuclear and Missile Threats

June 18, 2025 – Jerusalem

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Wednesday that the country is in the sixth day of Operation Rising Lion, aimed at neutralizing what he described as two major existential threats: Iran’s nuclear capabilities and its ballistic missile systems.

Speaking in a televised address, Netanyahu stated that Israeli forces have achieved air superiority over Tehran and are conducting targeted strikes against critical military infrastructure.

“We are striking the regime in Iran with significant force,” Netanyahu said. “Our operations are focused on nuclear facilities, missile sites, command centers, and regime symbols.”

He noted that world leaders have expressed admiration for Israel’s military precision and national resolve. “They are impressed by the determination of our forces and the resilience of the Israeli people,” he added.

Acknowledging the toll of the conflict, Netanyahu confirmed that Israel has suffered considerable losses. “These are painful sacrifices. But the home front remains strong, and so does our nation,” he said. He directed all government ministries to extend full support to affected citizens.

Simultaneously, heavy fighting continues in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu reaffirmed the government’s dual objectives: to defeat Hamas and secure the return of all Israeli hostages—both living and deceased.

“We will not back down,” the Prime Minister emphasized. “Our mission will continue until every hostage is returned and Hamas is fully dismantled.”

He also paid tribute to fallen soldiers, extending condolences on behalf of the government and the nation. “We mourn with their families. We embrace them in their grief and honor their bravery.”

Netanyahu concluded by thanking former U.S. President Donald Trump for his support. “President Trump remains a steadfast ally of Israel. I appreciate his ongoing assistance, including defense support and air protection. We had a warm and productive conversation last night,” he said.

“Together, with unity and faith, we will fight—and with God’s help, we will prevail,” Netanyahu told Israeli citizens.
