Kuwait Reports Large-Scale Attacks Since War Began

Kuwait has reported that more than 1,000 missiles and drones launched from Iran have targeted its territory since the start of the ongoing conflict.

According to the Kuwaiti Defense Ministry, the attacks began after the joint US-Israeli military operation against Tehran on February 28.

Breakdown of Weapons Used

Officials stated that the attacks included 336 ballistic missiles, 13 cruise missiles, and approximately 740 drones. These figures highlight the scale and intensity of the strikes directed at Kuwait.

Air Defenses Intercept Recent Threats

In the past 24 hours alone, Kuwaiti air defense systems intercepted multiple incoming threats. Authorities reported that forces successfully dealt with nine ballistic missiles, four cruise missiles, and 31 drones.

However, officials have not released details regarding casualties or damage resulting from these incidents.

Critical Infrastructure Targeted

Recent strikes have focused on key national facilities. Targets included a power generation unit, a water desalination plant, and oil-related infrastructure operated by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

These attacks raise concerns about the safety of essential services and energy supplies in the country.

Regional Conflict Intensifies

Tensions across the region have continued to rise since the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran. Reports indicate that more than 1,340 people have died, including former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran has expanded its retaliation beyond Israel. It has also targeted Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf states hosting US military assets.

Shipping Routes Also Affected

Additionally, Iran has imposed restrictions on vessel movement through the Strait of Hormuz. This move has raised concerns about global energy supply routes and maritime security.
