Pakistan Saudi Support US Iran Talks Final Agreement Stage

Ishaq Dar Faisal Talks Regional Stability Peace Initiative Update

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have expressed support for the final stage of US-Iran negotiations, highlighting hopes that the emerging agreement will contribute to stability across the Middle East as diplomatic efforts intensify.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone discussion with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during which both sides reviewed regional developments and ongoing diplomatic engagement between Washington and Tehran. The two ministers welcomed reports that the talks have entered their concluding phase, with a potential signing ceremony expected soon, possibly in Geneva.

Both leaders expressed optimism that progress in the negotiations could strengthen peace, encourage dialogue, and reduce tensions in the region. Saudi Arabia also acknowledged Pakistan’s continued role in supporting mediation and diplomatic initiatives throughout the process.

The discussion also included preparations for an upcoming meeting of the Regional Four (R-4) Foreign Ministers in Egypt later this month, focusing on broader regional cooperation.

In separate outreach, Ishaq Dar also spoke with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, with both sides noting encouraging progress in the US-Iran talks and expressing hope for a peaceful resolution.

Pakistan has remained actively engaged in regional diplomacy, maintaining contacts with multiple stakeholders as efforts continue toward a long-term settlement of tensions involving Iran and other regional actors.
