Netanyahu Credited with Halting Iran’s Nuclear Progress

Prime Minister's Office Highlights Over a Decade of Strategic Action Against Iranian Nuclear Threat

April 17, 2025 | Jerusalem
In a statement released today, the Prime Minister’s Office emphasized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s unwavering leadership in countering Iran’s nuclear ambitions over the past decade.

Despite facing criticism and accusations of exaggeration from both domestic and international figures, Netanyahu remained steadfast in warning the global community about the growing Iranian nuclear threat—efforts once dismissed as “political spin” and “paranoia.”

According to the statement, Israel’s numerous covert and public operations—many initiated under Netanyahu’s direction—are the primary reason Iran has not yet acquired nuclear weapons. These actions are said to have set back Iran’s nuclear timeline by nearly ten years.

The statement praised Netanyahu’s resilience in implementing a firm national security policy amid significant opposition. As reiterated by the Prime Minister, Israel remains resolute: it will never permit Iran to obtain nuclear arms.
